Expressive Arts
Welcome to the Expressive Arts department which is made up of three separate subjects; Art, Music and Performing Arts. Each subject area has their own dedicated classroom adapted to the needs of the subject’s specialism.
Department Aim
Expressive Art’s aim is to promote, encourage and celebrate a culture of Expressing Individuality Creatively. We are very fortunate that our Arts provision ensures that all students in Y7 and Y8 get one lesson of Art, Music and Performing Arts every week. Art, Music and Performing Arts are also offered in Y9, Y10 Y11 as both GCSE and Level two vocational qualifications. Our 5 year curriculum journeys are designed to enhance and develop students’ understanding and experience of the Arts giving opportunities to further develop and explore their own talents as well as the processes and skills within industry.
